Tim Borland “Tri’ed” it again!

Yep, Tim Borland did it again!  On June 13th, Tim pulled and pushed Paige Champion, a 19-year-old girl from Altoona, Iowa who suffers from A-T, through the Hy-Vee Triathlon amateur race in Des Moines.  Three-Time Olympic Triathlete Hunter Kemper connected Tim and the Champion family.  Tim got aslight break due to a severe thunderstorm.  Just before the 6am start, race directors changed to a sprint distance for the safety of all competitors.  Tim and Paige crossed the finish line just before the start of the storm.  Not only did Tim and Paige get plenty of face time on local TV and newspapers, they also were followed by NBC Sports.  Sometime in July, NBC Sports will have a special recap of the entire Hy-Vee Tri and they are planning to have a feature story on Tim and Paige.  We’ll let you know when this is scheduled to air.  This was Tim’s first Triathlon in a long time and we think he’s caught the bug.
